I feel as though the definition can fluctuate from person to person, at least their technique can.  A little like art. I define meditation as the silencing of one’s thoughts, breathing, and being present.  The literal definition?think deeply or focus one’s mind for a period of time, in silence or with the aid of chanting, for religious or spiritual purposes or as a method of relaxation

Imagine closing your mind off to all of the distractions of the outside world. Thoughts are shut off and deep breaths fill your belly.  You gently blow this air out through your nose or slightly open lips. You repeat this cycle as much or as little as you need. Your heart rate beats at a calming pace.  How do you think this feels?  Relaxing, right? Of course, one of the main reasons people meditate is to destress and relax.  According to, other benefits include enhancing self-awareness, lighten attention span, control anxiety, and much more!

When I first started meditation, guided meditation worked best for me. As easy as it sounds to just sit still and breath, I wasn’t very good at it.  I felt that a voice guiding me back to my breaths, reminding me not to pay attention to distractions helped best.  I’m sharing a small 10-minute meditation for you all to enjoy.  When you’re new, its best to start small.  As you get more comfortable you can meditate for however long as you like.  Please enjoy the video down below. 🙂

As much as you want! There should never be a limit to how much you’re able to relax.  As long as you’re able to stay productive, there shouldn’t be a reason to not meditate as often as possible.  It’s all about listening to your body.  Be your own boss.

And with that, I leave you. 🙂 I hope you enjoyed this week’s post.  Until next time!

As always: Stay True. Stay You. Stay Beautiful ❤️
